Snake Advocate & Conservationist Matt Ellerbeck (AKA The Snake Man) encounters a Smooth Green Snake. This snake species is listed as a specially protected reptile under the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act. Under this act snakes are protected from being harassed, killed, captured, bought, or sold. Violations of this act can result in a maximum fine of $25000 and/or imprisonment.
