It ranges northward up the Pacific Coast from the vicinity of Big Sur, Monterey Co., Calif., through British Columbia, Canada, to the southernmost islands in the Alaska panhandle -- Revillegigedo (where Ketchikan is), Prince of Wales, Annette (where Metlakatla is) and Dall islands. A pretty insane insect so be on the watch for them!
