Baby Snake: Copperhead Racer, Thailand (not baby Copperhead in Western USA)

logo

Baby snake finds are the coolest. They have no idea how small they are. I avoid snake bite. This baby snake is a copperhead racer here in Thailand. It was trying to cross the road and I JUST missed this snake's head with my front motorbike tire. I screeched to a stop and rescued him. He's striking at me a lot. Great fun. Totally harmless little snake.

Big Snake: Yellow Rat Snake Crossing Road in Thailand, comes for me!

logo

A big snake - copperhead (copperheaded to be exact) racer - similar to the western yellow rat snake at about 2 meters long, in Thailand crossing the highway. It comes for me at the end of the video! Great snake. These are very active striking snakes - they can strike MANY times before they become tired.. They are non-venomous, non poisonous. They eat frogs, mice, rats, lizards, birds. These can probably be called the favorite food of the world's largest venomous snake - King Cobras. Where you find these Copper Headed Racers you find the King Cobras! I'll have to catch the next one I see so I can get some video of it striking - they're really acrobatic strikers too - launching themselves at you. Coelognathus radiatus.

A Southern gray rat snake. Beautiful animal, a very beneficial creature to have in your garden. They're great pest control.
