Pet rodents chill on a Saturday in a Northern California pet store.
One of The Sims 3 Pets cat toys! Sorry that I haven't uploaded a video in a while. I've been trying to fit a bunch of Sims 3 Pets clips into one long video, that it was just taking too long. So, I decided to upload each clip separately. I will be uploading more vids of The Sims 3 Pets objects. Right now I am working on the cat objects. When I'm done with the cat objects I will do dog objects, then horse objects, then show the minor pets (rats, snakes, lizards ext.). Thanks so much for watching! PS I do requests! ~Emily
Rats are some of the most intelligent and clean animals on the planet. They make fabulous animal companions, and so I did everything I could to help rescue as many as I could. The first rat and babies you'll see weren't rescues. The mother, Patsy, was part of a breeding program I was doing. I bred her once a year. This was her second and actually last litter. The rest of the rats were rescues who were brought to me by people who got them as pets from local petstores and when they ended up giving birth the people didn't want them anymore. I rescued a lot of animals, sick, pregnant, or abused that came from those pet stores. I tried to get the stores shut down due to animal abuse, dead animals in cages, etc. Animal control never did a thing to them, but they came after me taking all the animals they could make money off of and sold them all to local pet stores where the animals ended up going as snake food or dying in the store. Are you as disgusted as I am? Well, at least I do have happy memories of the animals I was able to rescue/rehabilitate and find new homes for.
Just a short video of how my pets act around the newest addition to the household, Butterscotch (BS) the rat. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES is it okay to leave your pets unsupervised no matter how "tolerant" they are around your small animals. Always take into consideration the dangers involved when housing your small animals with larger companions. None of my dogs, cat, or ferret like Butterscotch, there seems to be a mutual understanding that she's not to be eaten or harmed, but accidents can happen. Always keep your small animals, (ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, etc...) under adult supervision when interacting with other common household pets. NOTE: Ferrets and rats DO NOT get along. NEVER house a ferret and rat together. In the natural world ferrets are predators of rats and this is still known even in domestication. My ferret never showed signs of aggression until BS came to live with us and his attitude changes when he is around her. EVEN if your ferret seems friendly DO NOT RISK IT. It's reckless and possibly fatal to your ratties.
NUTRO pet food (dog and cats), which has extensive international operations, was acquired in 2007 by Mars, Inc FDA Confirms Probe of NUTRO Pet Food Deaths, Illnesses: www.consumeraffairs.com ANIMAL TESTING DANGEROUS TO HUMAN HEALTH: www.healthy.net October 6, 2008 - Announed today that Mars has bought out Wrigley's making them the worlds' largest candy company !!!! Got a sweet tooth? Think twice before picking up a Mars candy bar! You should know that candymaker Mars, Inc.—creator of M&M's, Snickers, Twix, Dove, Three Musketeers, Starburst, Skittles, and other candies—funds deadly animal tests, even though there are more reliable human studies and not one of the tests is required by law. Mars is currently funding a deadly experiment on rats to determine the effects of chocolate ingredients on their blood vessels. Experimenters force-feed the rats by shoving plastic tubes down their throats and then cut open the rats' legs to expose an artery, which is clamped shut to block blood flow. After the experiment, the animals are killed. Mars has also funded cruel experiments in which mice were fed a candy ingredient and forced to swim in a pool of a water mixed with white paint. The mice had to find a hidden platform to avoid drowning, only to be killed and dissected later on. In yet another experiment supported by Mars, rats were fed cocoa and anesthetized with carbon dioxide so that their blood could be collected by injecting a needle directly into their hearts, which can lead ...
