i got all 4 of my rats from pet stores (there are no breeders in my area), they are very loving and mellow as well..just had some minor respiratory issues (the best reason to get them from a breeder- healthier rats), but otherwise they’re gentle and great. i think their temperament largely depends on getting them young, and raising them properly, teaching them that they’re safe and loved. rats are awesome!
